- All papers is given a total of two hours for completion.
- Each paper is for 200 marks
- A single score will be given for each correct answer, and one-third of a mark is deducted for each incorrect response.
Mains
The second step, the final examination, which is going to be called for those who pass the preliminary examination. The table below the general Mains Examination schedule, still shows the slightly modified examination timetable for topics III through VII of the course.
- In addition, there are going to be seven papers in the CGPSC Mains Exam , and will be held in a regular structure.
- Each paper is valued two hundred scores.
- The papers is given a three-hour limitation on time.
- The applicants having the choice to answer each question in the Hindi language or English, it has been given the exception of the Language paper as well.

Interviews
when completing the primary examination, which is applicants are called to a 150-mark interview, and is also commonly referred to as a personality examination. In summing the outcomes from the Mains examination and the examination of personality, the final recommended applicant list is going to be formed.
The examination for personality evaluates an applicant's mental acuity, logical and clear presentation, critical absorption skills, variety and depth of interest, judgmental balance, ability to interact socially and to lead, and moral or logical reasoning.
