The examination in writing is a crucial component of the selection procedure and is conducted for positions that do not require past shipbuilding experience. Applicants needs to perform well on the 100-point examination in order to advance to the next round. The final list of applicants will heavily weight the outcomes of the written examination for positions that do not require expertise in the construction of ships.
Experience in Shipbuilding Industry
In order some positions, previous construction experience is necessary. The forty points have been awarded to applicants who have demonstrated this experience throughout the selection process. In addition to the written examination scores, this factor is taken into account, and experience is a key determinant of qualifications for these particular positions.
Trade/Skill Test
All applicants, no matter their previous work in the shipbuilding industry, must successfully complete the trade or skill examination as a qualification stage. It is required of all applicants and helps to evaluate the practical knowledge and specific to the position. According to their success in the written and practical examinations, applicants who pass the examination will be promoted to the finals selection list of items.
