RPSC RAS Exam Pattern

An extensive synopsis of the RPSC RAS Exam pattern for the preliminary and main exams can be found in this section. It is recommended that candidates keep themselves informed about the latest exam patterns in order to effectively prepare for the test. The RAS Exam is explained in full in the tables that follow:

 

Stage I: Prelim Exam Pattern

  • The preliminary test will only include one paper and be of a qualifying character.
  • The paper will have an objective style and 200 total points.
  • This paper will use normal bachelor's degree questions.
  • There will be a call for qualified candidates to the mains.
  • A deduction of 1/3 (one-third) of a mark will be made for each incorrect response.

Stage II: Main Exam Pattern

  • There will be four papers in the written exam, each earning 200 points.
  • Each paper has a three-hour time limit that candidates must complete.
  • In order to be eligible for the personality and viva voce tests, candidates need to receive a minimum of 10% in each paper and 15% overall out of the total points in all exams.
