SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2024

Within the specified time limit, candidates can submit their applications for the SSC CGL 2024. Right now, the application window is open. Before submitting an application, candidates should check the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria, which covers nationality, age restriction, and educational qualifications. All of the prerequisites for SSC CGL eligibility are listed below:
 

Nationality 

A candidate must be either:

  • An Indian Citizen, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or  
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • an Indian national who left their home country with the goal of relocating there permanently, coming from places like Ethiopia, Vietnam, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, Ethiopia, and Pakistan, Burma, and Sri Lanka. 

Note: Applicants who need a proof of eligibility can still be admitted to the exam; however, the offer of employment won't come through until the Indian government issues the necessary eligibility certificate to him (hereinafter referred to as 'him/her').

SSC CGL Relaxation 

Candidates that fit into specific categories may be eligible for the upper age relaxation listed in the table below, according to government policies and guidelines.

Additional age relaxation that is permitted for Group "C" postings

Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have delivered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as of closing date for receipt of application.
  • General: Upto 40 years of age
  • SC/ST: Upto 45 years of age
Women who have been declared widows, divorced, judicially separated, and unmarried.

  • a bachelor's degree in any field with statistics listed as one of the required topics.
