Mains Exam Pattern
when completing the preliminary test, the successful applicants are going to be selected to take the main examination. The UPPSC AE Mains Exam is going to comprise of 2 separate papers, each worth 375 marks. The mains exam is going to assess the applicant's knowledge and expertise in the field of interest as well as non-technical topics and the period of time allocated for each paper are going to be a total of 2 hours 30 minutes respectively.
The correct answer will earn a score of 3 on the main examination, and each wrong answer will outcome in a 1/3 of a mark being subtracted. A complete description of the first and second papers of the examination format is given as follows:
Paper 1 Exam Pattern
In addition, there are going to be 120 questions altogether on the first paper of the main examination, and this will be made up of twenty-five questions across all topics Hindi and 125 questions from related to technology fields of study. Every correct answer will get a score of 3, and each wrong answer is going to result in a score penalty of 1/3. The total period available for the examination is approximately two hours and thirty minutes in duration.

Paper 2 Exam Pattern
In order to evaluate applicants' abilities in technology, the second paper of the UPPSC AE the Mains, examination includes 125 questions based on the general studies along with associated engineering topics as well. The applicants are given a score of 3 for every correct answer, and 1 mark is going to be deducted for each wrong answer. The paper is going to be completed in the allowed period of 2 hours 15 minutes.
