b. Age Limit & Relaxation
As on August 1, 2024, the candidate must be between the ages of 21 and 32, with few exceptions for particular categories.

c. Educational Qualification
A degree from an accredited university or a comparable credential is required of candidates.
d. Number of Attempts
Each candidate who takes the test is given six (6) chances to pass the CSE. Candidates who are otherwise eligible but fall under the SC/ST/OBC or PwBD categories will be granted a relaxation in the number of attempts. The specifics are as follows:

A candidate is not eligible to apply for the Indian Police Service if they are assigned to the Service based on the outcome of a previous examination and continue to be a member of that Service.
