UPSC IFS Exam Pattern 2024

The IFS test pattern is designed to assess a candidate's academic aptitude in addition to their capacity for methodical, cogent self-expression. Its objective is to assess candidates' general intellectual capacity and understanding abilities.

Preliminary Examination

  • There are two required 200-mark papers in the test.
  • There are are going to be two multiple choice questions, objective-style problems in the examination.
  • A minimum score of thirty-three percent will be the score required to clear the Civil Services (The preliminary) Examination's General Education The second paper.
  • The English as well as Hindi translations of the exam questions are going to be provided.

Main Examination

All question paper responses for the Main Exam must be provided in English only.

  • Paper I covers general knowledge, and Paper II covers general English.
  • Selecting two elective subjects from the following list is necessary for Papers III, IV, V, and VI.
