| Science Subjects |
Candidates must have passed an Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from Education Boards recognized by the Central, State, and UT, with at least 50% in aggregate and 50% in English. OR Passed a three-year diploma course in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from a Central, State, or UT-recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% in aggregate and 50% in English in Diploma Course (or, in the context of a diploma program when the English language is not a topic, intermediate/matriculation). OR Passed a two-year Vocational Course including non-vocational subjects such as Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by the Central, State, and UT with 50% aggregate and 50% marks in If English is not a subject, take English in a vocational course or upon graduation. |
| Other than Science Subjects |
Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subject with at least 50% aggregate and 50% in English. OR Passed a two-year Vocational Course with a minimum of 50% in aggregate and 50% in English in the Vocational Course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Vocational Course). |
Note - 1
Candidates who meet the requirements for the Science Subjects examination (Intermediate/10+2/three-year diploma program in engineering or two-year vocational program with non-vocational subjects like math and physics) are also eligible for the Other than Science Subjects examination. When completing the online registration form, candidates will have the option to appear in both the Science Subjects and Other than Science Subjects examinations at the same time.

Only the exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of the 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination/Three Years Diploma Course/Two Years Vocational Course OR calculated per the regulations of the relevant Polytechnic Institute / Education Board will be taken into account (for instance, 49.99% should be interpreted as 49% and not rounded to 50%).
