SSC GD Eligibility Criteria 2024
Make sure you are eligible before applying for the SSC GD Constable 2024 recruitment. A number of essential elements are included in the SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria and are stated below.
(a) Nationality:
The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Due to state/UT/area specificity, candidates must provide their permanent resident certificate (PRC) or proof of residence for Assam Rifles and CAPFs.
A candidate's candidature will be immediately terminated and they will not be allowed to change states during Document Verification if they show a Domicile/Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by a state other than the one listed in their application.
(b) Age Limit:
The upper age restriction was increased by three years by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Applicants for the GD Constable post should be informed of the higher age relaxations for each category as well as the age criteria.
Minimum Age – 18 years
Maximum Age – 23 years
Note: Applicants must have been born on January 1, 2006, or no later than February 1, 2001.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit
Candidates who fall under one of the reserved groups (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) may be eligible for an age reduction. The table below displays the age relaxation for each category.

(c) Educational Qualification
Applying for the Constable (General Duty) Posts requires candidates to have finished their Matriculation or 10th Class Examination before January 1, 2024, from an approved Board or University.
