UPSC CDS (II) 2024 Exam Pattern

Every military academy has a different UPSC CDS exam format. Exam content for the Officers' Training Academy varies slightly in terms of the amount of sections. Nonetheless, both papers' questions will be of the objective type. The questions will be bilingual, with the exception of the English language. The following are the specifics of each segment of the exa:

A. WRITTEN EXAMINATION

Note: 

• There will only be objective-style questions in the papers for every subject. There will be multilingual question booklets for general knowledge and elementary mathematics in both Hindi and English.
• Every incorrect response will result in a deduction of ⅓ marks.

B. SSB INTERVIEW (INTELLIGENCE & PERSONALITY TEST)

As previously mentioned, the CDS SSB Interview consists of two phases, each of which has an intelligence and personality test:

• Stage I:The Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT) is one of the Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests. The performance in both the PP&DT and OIR Test will determine which candidates make the short list.
• Stage II:Psychology tests, group testing officer tasks, interviews, and conferences. These examinations take place over a four-day period.
